2D Animator (Rig-Based Animation)

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented 2D Animator specializing in rig-based animation to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in major Adobe software, possess strong artistic fundamentals, and be capable of handling pre-production, production, and post-production tasks independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality rig-based 2D animations for characters, props, and environments.
• Design and develop storyboards and animatics based on project scripts.
• Produce visually appealing backgrounds, layouts, and scene compositions.
• Apply strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and movement.
• Use color theory effectively to enhance mood, tone, and visual appeal.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts, visual styles, and production pipelines.
• Work through all phases of production:

o Pre-Production: Concept creation, storyboarding, character design, background design.

o Production: Rigging, animation, scene setup.

o Post-Production: Compositing, editing, sound syncing, and final delivery.

• Ensure smooth integration of assets across software programs.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.

Required Skills & Software Proficiency

• Adobe Animate
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong understanding of:

o 12 Principles of Animation

o Color theory & lighting

o Storyboarding & visual storytelling

o Background/scene design

o Animatics creation

• Ability to handle full animation pipelines from concept to final edit.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a 2D animator with a strong portfolio/reel.
• Experience with rigged animation workflows.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹18,000.00 per month
