Job Vacancy: 2D Draftsman

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 2D Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and coordinating with engineers and project teams to support ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D layouts, plans, and elevations for event spaces, stages, and installations.
• Prepare technical shop drawings for fabrication and installation (stages, trusses, booths, backdrops, furniture placement, etc.).
• Convert conceptual designs and 3D renders into accurate 2D technical drawings.
• Work closely with event designers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure technical feasibility.
• Maintain drawing standards, accuracy, and scaling for all event-related projects.
• Produce layout drawings for seating arrangements, rigging points, electrical plans, and event flow.
• Revise and update drawings based on client or internal team feedback.
• Ensure all drawings comply with venue guidelines, safety standards, and production requirements.
• Support on-site teams by providing as-built drawings and technical clarifications when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Draftsman in events, exhibitions, or interior fit-out.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp; knowledge of 3ds Max or Revit is a plus.
• Ability to prepare shop drawings, joinery details, and fabrication documentation.
• Good understanding of event layouts, trussing systems, stage design, and venue technicals.
• Attention to detail, precision, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in UAE/GCC event industry is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure.
