2nd screen Security shift supervisor (internal only)

Division/Department: Fond du Luth Casino - Security
Location: Fond du Luth Casino - Onsite
Reports To: Security Manager
Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time; 120 days – Part time
FLSA Status: Exempt (salaried) Non-Exempt (hourly)
Classification: Class A Gaming Licensure
Driver’s License: Level 0 No Driver’s License required.
Rate of Pay: $27.64 to $31.10

    Responsibilities: In the absence of the Security Manager, provides directions from Security Officers. Makes recommendations to the Security Manager on matters pertaining to the training and retention of subordinates, evaluating performance, determining training needs, scheduling, disciplining, etc.
    Accurately logs all necessary information pertaining to activities of assigned shifts and completes and submits all required paperwork.
    Ensure the safety and satisfaction of guests by providing a high level of customer service and handling guest concerns in a calm and professional manner.
    Maintain visible and approachable security presence to build trust and ensure guests feel safe while enjoying their experience at the casino.
    Leads, mentors and trains security staff
    Reviews all reports submitted by security officers to ensure proper reporting, etc. also to include reports relating to all incidents in a manner acceptable to outside distribution.
    Provides general patrol of interior and perimeter of the Fond-du-Luth Casino property.
    Performs first aid to assist patrons and Casino employees.
    Protects money room and executive offices.
    Properly identify all employees entering the money room.
    Provides money escort services.
    Reports on all accidents and conditions requiring correction.
    Reports employee theft or unusual behavior or irregularities.
    Provides traffic control when necessary.Prepares evacuation plans and routes from assigned areas.
    Department uniform is required and provided to the employees, which must be worn during scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
    Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
    Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR trainings.
    Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
    Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
    Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
    Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
    Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
    Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.

    Qualifications: No Driver’s License required.
    Completion of an approved accredited law enforcement training program preferred.
    Ability to work well with the public.
    Ability to communicate and supervise areas and groups of people and to act responsibly in an emergency.
    A strong understanding and knowledge of the laws of the United States and State of Minnesota.
    CPR/AED and First Aid Certification is required; if not certified/licensed at the time of hire, employee must become certified/licensed with 90 days of hire; Employment is contingent upon this requirement and must maintain certification for duration of employment.
    Other security, safety and customer service training may be required.
    Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
    Operations are conducted seven days a week and on holidays and can work all shifts..
    Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
    The ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
    Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
    Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
    Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
    Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
    Some travel may be required.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Sedentary work with walking and standing required.
