Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine specifications of order using blueprints, drawings, and/or work orders, to determine characteristics of finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
- Set up and operate fiber laser to cut assigned parts.
- Load programs and raw materials onto machine and adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine.
- Examine work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED

Two or more years of actual fiber laser operations.

Knowledge of tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Knowledge of machines such as press brake is a plus.

Basic repair and maintenance knowledge.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the fabrication of sheet metal products.

At least eighteen years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity and standing for extended periods of time.

Adhere to all PPE requirements.

Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.

Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.

Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common machine shop auditory stimuli.

Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds of lifting/force constantly to move objects.
