2nd Shift Med Tech/Caregiver

Job Summary
Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Technician/Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in delivering personalized medication management and comprehensive care to residents in an assisted living setting. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, dementia support, hospice services, and more. Your dedication will ensure residents receive safe medication administration, attentive caregiving, and respectful support to enhance their quality of life every day.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications and treatments following physician orders, including oral, topical, injectable, and tube feeding procedures.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
• Assist residents with daily activities including mobility, personal hygiene, grooming, and nutrition to promote independence and comfort.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
• Support residents with specialized needs such as catheter care, wound management, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care strategies.
• Collaborate with Administration and Health and Wellness staff to assess patient conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment that respects dignity and individuality.

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments is highly preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease is a plus.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
