Title: Production Worker/Forklift Operator
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11:30pm, (OT may be required during peak season)
The Production Worker/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks across different stages of the production process. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various production needs. The Production Worker/Forklift Operator supports the manufacturing team by filling in where needed, receiving, handling, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished products to support the manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant, and helping to meet production targets.
Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in various stages of production, including blowfill, stuffing/straightening, packing, and material handling as needed.

Occasionally, load, unload, and move materials, components, and finished products within the plant using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.

Rotate between different production tasks and workstations, filling in for absent employees or helping with tasks that require additional support.

Inspect materials and finished products for defects. Report any issues or inconsistencies to the supervisor.

Work closely with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.

Other duties as requested, including general housekeeping of plant/warehouse
Required Skills:

Ability to adapt to different tasks and workstations as needed, with a willingness to learn new skills and processes.

Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.

Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely or willingness to learn.

Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, RF Scanners, etc.)
Physical Abilities:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods, lifting materials up to 50 lbs., and handling repetitive motions.

Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, stand and walk for at least 3 hours at a stretch, over an 8 or 10-hour shift, with 15-minute breaks.
Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, RF Scanners, etc.)
