Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are recruiting for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Successful candidates will need the following below to be considered:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Modeling: Create 3D models and 2D detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and tools.
- Analysis & Simulation: Perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to simulate and validate performance. Keen understanding of GD&T concepts
- Prototyping & Testing: Build, test, and troubleshoot prototypes to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), design specifications, and engineering change orders.
- Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, electrical, and project management teams to ensure design feasibility and project timelines.
- Design for Excellence (DfX): Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Foster a positive team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Associates in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting or related field.
- 4-7 years minimum mechanical design, detail, checking and engineering experience with components, assemblies, drawing packages
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX Catia, AutoCAD).
- Engineering Knowledge: Deep understanding of materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes and GD&T Concepts.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and perform engineering calculations.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management capabilities.
- Electrical, mechanical technical, or vocational training a plus
- Certification training from a vocational training school or college with courses relevant to drafting and/or engineering principles preferred.
Pay: $84,887.78 - $97,230.45 per year
