3 Months Temporary Health and Safety Advisor

Key accountabilities

· Provide general support and assistance to the HSQE Manager.

· Provide general support and assistance to all members of the project team on site.

· Assist and approve management of fire safety and assessments throughout the project.

· Produce, communicate regularly update Project HSE Plans.

· Monitor and review regular site performance through weekly inspections and audits, including assessment of all Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring Company policies and procedures are implemented appropriately. Recording any findings, highlighting any areas for improvement.

· Assist in the identification, needs, preparation and review of RAMS, compliance and training of staff and trade contractors. Along with monitoring activities are carried out as stated with the RAMS.

· Review or assist in the review with the senior HSE person on site/project manager/construction manager or technical services manager all RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) from all Trade Contractors.

· Review and record checks (through monthly inspection) on all fire exits, fire equipment and fire signage.

· Review and display relevant safety signage within the project area.

· Review and ensure site safety notice boards are updated with current information.

· Assist in HSE audits and produce audit reports. Follow up with any actions required from findings in Audits.

· Completing and communicate a daily site report for distribution to ISG site staff and Trade Contractors.

· Communicate safety performance and statistics to the project team on site

· Providing advice, assistance and review of OSH (Occupational Safety & Health) to all employees and Trade Contractors.

· Monitor OSH legislative requirements for all Trade Contractor activities.

· Monitor compliance with safe work procedures/practices.

· Preparing and participating in Weekly/Monthly HSE Review Meetings and Programs.

· Facilitate toolbox talks weekly for all Trade Contractors and ISG Employees.

· Advising the Project Team and Trade Contractors on correct and safe practices at all times.

· Preparing and conducting project safety inductions for Staff and Trade Contractors.

· Leading by example and promoting HSE at every opportunity.

· Stimulating a high level of safety awareness at all times.

· Facilitating the maintenance of the safety management system and records.

· Participating in regular workplace inspections and ensure that any improvements resulting from such an inspection are actioned in the required time frame given.

· Carry out Worker Welfare Audits on Accommodation standards and Employment Practices along with Worker interviews on site.

· Assist in Accident/Incident Investigations following any injury to personnel or property damage with ISG Sites or Offices.

· Liase with Consultant & Client for regular tours of the site. Closing out and observations raised.

· Reward and Recognise positive HSE performance displayed by individuals. Issue violations to individuals who are observed practicing unsafe acts

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
