We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher to guide and nurture our 3-year-old classroom. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of 3-year-olds, integrating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote active learning, creativity, and curiosity while aligning with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and respectful interactions among children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions between activities and maintaining organized learning spaces.
- Use assessment tools such as standardized testing and observational methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Supervise teaching assistants or support staff, providing mentorship and guidance to uphold high-quality childcare standards.
Requirements
- Proven classroom management skills with experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or private school setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across subjects including literacy education, math (including Montessori methods), physical education, and toddler care.
- Prior experience in teaching physical education or tutoring young children is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori certification is a plus.
