Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to inspire and educate young learners in a nurturing and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development, with experience working with children across various developmental stages. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes behavior management, social-emotional development, and child welfare.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal observations; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure safety, engagement, and effective classroom management.
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists to support individual student needs and foster open communication.
- Facilitate tutoring sessions and provide additional support for students requiring extra help in core subjects like reading, math, or physical education.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance; prepare reports for school administration.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with childhood development trends, teaching methodologies, and educational technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; additional certifications preferred.
- Experience working with children in classroom settings; preschool experience or daycare background is advantageous.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development across multiple subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and special education practices such as early intervention.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs; experience with Montessori or private school environments is a plus.
