Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Classes: Deliver lectures, practical sessions, workshops, and lab sessions on core 3D modules.
- Module Training: Teach all aspects of the 3D pipeline, including:
- Modeling
- Texturing
- Lighting and Rendering
- Rigging and Animation
- Dynamics and basic VFX (optional)
- Student Guidance: Mentor students during project development, evaluate their performance, provide constructive feedback, and assist with building their portfolios/demo reels.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the academic team to design and update course curriculum to stay current with industry trends.
- Stay Updated: Continuously update knowledge on the latest tools, software, and trends in the animation, game development, and VFX industries.
- Administration: Manage batches of students, maintain class discipline, and perform other assigned responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Mandatory expertise in industry-standard software such as Autodesk Maya and Blender.
- Additional Software Knowledge: Proficiency in other relevant software like 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, or Unity is highly preferred, especially for gaming-focused roles.
- Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the 3D production pipeline and industry-standard workflows is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring abilities to explain complex concepts effectively.
- Experience: Prior teaching or relevant studio/industry experience is preferred but not always mandatory.
- Creativity: Strong artistic and technical skills with attention to detail and a passion for teaching.
