Job Title: 3DHM Researcher

We are seeking a multidisciplinary Anthropometry & Human Perception Researcher with a background in neuroscience, psychology, and data science to support research and development for human-centric hearables technologies. This role combines expertise in study design, neuroimaging and human data collection, and 3D human modeling to drive innovation in next-generation Pixel Hearables.
The ideal candidate will bridge biological data and technical modeling, bringing a strong foundation in quantitative research, human factors, and statistical programming.
Program Scope of Work:
Support the 3D Human Modeling (3DHM) program with data-driven research to improve the ergonomic and perceptual design of hearables devices.
Execute anthropometry and human perception research projects from concept to insights.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and human factors engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute studies related to hearables, including HF (human factors) data and anatomical measurements.
Conduct and preprocess MRI and wrist scan data using tools like FreeSurfer, MATLAB, and custom pipelines.
Apply mesh registration, 3D geometry modeling, and cortex-based alignment to create high-fidelity human models.
Build and maintain statistical pipelines (MATLAB, Python, R) for modeling tissue structure, perception, and motion.
Develop reports and translate complex datasets into design recommendations for product teams.
Support end-to-end research including participant setup, data collection, documentation, and presentation.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Trimesh, etc.)
Strong understanding of linear algebra, optimization, image processing, and statistical modeling
Experience in MRI preprocessing, neuroimaging analysis, or biomechanical data processing
Familiarity with mesh registration, primitive decomposition, and 3D human scan alignment
Experience with human subjects research, study design, and protocol development
Demonstrated ability to communicate insights through data visualization, reports, and presentations
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomechanics, Data Science, or related field
