3rd Shift Dairy Associate

The 3rd Shift Dairy Associate is responsible for stocking, organizing, and maintaining the dairy department during overnight hours. This role ensures products are fresh, properly rotated, and attractively displayed for customers. The associate plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, food safety standards, and inventory

Key Responsibilities:

• Stock and replenish dairy products (milk, eggs, yogurt, cheese, etc.) on shelves and in coolers

• Rotate products using FIFO (first in, first out) to ensure freshness and minimize waste

• Check expiration dates and remove outdated or damaged items

• Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented dairy cases and storage areas

• Monitor and record cooler/freezer temperatures according to food safety guidelines

• Assist with receiving and unloading deliveries

• Break down pallets and safely store backstock

• Ensure proper labeling and pricing of products

• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations

• Provide limited customer assistance if needed during early morning hours

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous grocery or retail experience is a plus

• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Frequent bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods

• Comfortable working in cold environments (coolers/freezers)

Work Environment:

• Overnight/3rd shift hours (typically between 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, may vary)

• Fast-paced retail setting with moderate physical demands
