4100-F&B Restaurant Host/Hostess (Temporary) $16.90 per hour

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Welcomes restaurant patrons by greeting and seating guests.
2. Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with department and company policy.
3. Properly utilizes Dine Time application to keep accurate accounts of tables in service
4. Takes to go orders over the phone and in person
5. Follows proper cash handling procedures and closes all checks properly
6. Politely greets all customers and escorts them to the table.
7. Follows Commerce Casino/Crowne Plaza standards of greeting, seating and service.
8. Knowledge of menu; able to discuss food preparation with customers.
9. Responsible for the presentation and appearance of all regular and daily menus.
10. Assists Food Servers by offering beverages upon seating, clearing and setting tables when needed.
11. Takes dining reservations and gives other information on the phone.
12. Assists in the promotion of Mr. Banks marketing programs.
13. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Food &Beverage Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Required: 1 year host or restaurant front of house experience.

Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using Squirrel or other POS services, and has working knowledge of application based TMS such as Dine Time
• Knowledge of Safety & Sanitation guidelines as set forth in individual job manuals. Must have a Food Handler Card/ Serve Safe Certificate.
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift excluding breaks and meal periods.
• Must demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position.
• Must be clean, well-groomed, and have a professional appearance per company standards.

Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary. Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently, prepare detailed professional correspondence, memoranda, policies, procedures as well as regulations related to the employee’s duties. A general knowledge of the Windows based computer operating systems is also required.

SCHEDULED HOURS

Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
