Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Early Childhood development and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. As a Lead Teacher, you will be joining a dynamic team of educators and collaborating on daily basis along with administration and families to maximize student growth and create a strong, welcoming and multicultural school environment. This role is crucial in shaping young minds and ensuring that every student receives the attention and resources they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards, Creative Curriculum and Reggio Inspired practices.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
  • Assess students' progress through Gold Assessment Tool and other evaluation methods.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including those with special education needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and other educators to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Supervise classroom activities and manage student behavior effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development.
  • Utilize various teaching methods, including Montessori techniques, to cater to diverse learning styles.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
  • Early Childhood Teaching Certification and Masters or Study Plan (required)
  • 2 years of teaching experience ( assistant teaching and fieldwork hours accepted)
  • Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of literacy education, childhood development, and tutoring practices.
  • Familiarity with special education principles and strategies for inclusive teaching.
  • Experience using Creative Curriculum a plus.
  • Previous experience in leading classroom activities or managing a team is preferred.
  • A background in Reggio Emilia education is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,000.00 - $68,652.00 per year
