Responsibilities

• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, engagement, and collaboration.
• Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparation, to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs.
• Mentor and collaborate with fellow teachers, providing guidance on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and classroom best practices.
• Support students with diverse learning needs by integrating special education techniques and early intervention strategies into daily lessons.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to literacy education, childhood development, Montessori methods, or other relevant educational approaches.
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as tutoring programs, library services, or extracurricular activities that enrich the student experience.

Skills

• Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in a private or public school setting.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Expertise in lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment design.
• Knowledge of learning technology tools that enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices.
• Experience working with students with autism or other special needs is highly desirable.

Pay: $56,883.05 - $68,504.31 per year
