5th Grade Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love of education. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects including literacy, math, social studies, and science.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages respect, collaboration, and active participation among students.
  • Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
  • Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help in areas such as reading, writing, or math.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies and clear expectations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives and participate in school-wide activities such as library services or extracurricular programs.
  • Support students with special education needs or those requiring early intervention by implementing tailored strategies.
  • Mentor new teachers or interns, sharing best practices in classroom management and lesson planning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavioral concerns in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Valid teaching license for elementary education with experience working with children in grades 4–6.
  • Proven classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management and lesson planning skills.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or other progressive approaches.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms, standardized testing procedures, and curriculum development tools.
  • Experience working with students with autism or those requiring special education accommodations is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and administration effectively.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $54,561.79 per year
