Duties

• Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Incorporate physical education activities and promote healthy habits to support overall student well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans for students with autism or other special needs.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and portfolio reviews; adapt instruction accordingly.
• Engage in curriculum development initiatives to continuously improve teaching practices and learning outcomes.
• Mentor new teachers and assist in education administration tasks to uphold school standards of excellence.
• Support library services by integrating literacy education resources into daily lessons and encouraging reading habits among students.

Experience

• Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in diverse educational settings.
• Strong background in early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
• Experience developing and proofreading educational materials, lesson plans, and assessments with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and working with individuals with autism or special needs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and data analysis to inform instruction.
• Prior private school experience or Montessori training is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, staff, and external specialists.
