Duties

- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Incorporate physical education activities and promote healthy habits to support overall student well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans for students with autism or other special needs.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and portfolio reviews; adapt instruction accordingly.
- Engage in curriculum development initiatives to continuously improve teaching practices and learning outcomes.
- Mentor new teachers and assist in education administration tasks to uphold school standards of excellence.
- Support library services by integrating literacy education resources into daily lessons and encouraging reading habits among students.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in diverse educational settings.
- Strong background in early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
- Experience developing and proofreading educational materials, lesson plans, and assessments with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math instruction, and working with individuals with autism or special needs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and data analysis to inform instruction.
- Prior private school experience or Montessori training is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, staff, and external specialists.
