A Logistics Specialist Free-Zone Expertise is required to be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods, ensuring that products are transported, stored, and delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. The Logistics Specialist will handle various tasks including transportation planning, inventory management, customs documentation, and communication with suppliers, carriers, and clients to ensure a seamless flow of goods.
Job Location: Company Head-Office Sultan Hussein , Alexandria Egypt.
Working Days: Sundays to Thursdays
Working Hours: 8 am - 5 pm
Days Off: Fridays & Saturdays
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation & Shipping Coordination:
- Arrange and oversee the transportation of goods, both inbound and outbound, via various modes including land, sea, and air.
- Select and negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to secure competitive rates and services.
- Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates to relevant parties and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
- Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare, review, and manage all necessary logistics documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure all shipping and customs documentation is accurate and compliant with national and international trade regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements in Egypt and other relevant countries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customs brokers and authorities, facilitating smooth customs clearance processes.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management Support:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient stock is available for order fulfillment without overstocking.
- Ensure efficient storage and handling of goods within the warehouse
- Operational Optimization:
- Analyze logistics processes and data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and service quality.
- Work closely with the Operation , Commercial and Purchasing teams to align logistics activities with overall business goals.
- Supplier & Customer Communication:
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve logistics-related problems in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics(FREE-ZONE EXPERTISE), freight forwarding,
- Proven experience with international shipping (import/export) and customs procedures in Egypt is highly desirable.
- Experience in Cotton Spinning is a Plus
