7.5 tonne delivery driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations while adhering to all road safety regulations.

This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage time effectively

This a home delivery furniture delivery role so a good level of fitness is advised

Shift Length

Shifts run on rotation

1 week of Monday - Friday

The following week Tuesday to Saturday

Usually an 06:30 start each day

(Monday - Saturday)

Deliveries are routed between 10 - 12 hours a day.

Pay rate £16.91

per hour (Monday - Saturday)

This is a rolled up rate of rate plus holiday

Holiday pay is paid on top of this at 12.07 percent of your hourly rate

Overtime is paid at time and a half £25.37 after 48 working hours

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Unload goods,
• ensure your load is secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times

.Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with a category C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne).

Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred

.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

.A good understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
