Winslow Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and versatile Science Teacher to join the WJHS Team. Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging, standards-based science lessons aligned with Maine Learning Results and district curriculum guidelines.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all students, including students with IEPs and 504 plans.

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Incorporate literacy and numeracy skills within science instruction to support interdisciplinary learning.

Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.

Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and administration to support student success.

Support school-wide initiatives, including PBIS, and extracurricular activities as appropriate.

Serve as a positive role model and contribute to a respectful, student-centered school culture.
Qualifications

Science Endorsement Certification or eligible for certification.

Experience teaching Science preferred
