Join our dedicated emergency response team as a 911 Dispatcher, a vital role that ensures swift, accurate, and compassionate communication during critical moments. As a 911 Dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for individuals in distress, providing essential support and coordinating emergency services such as law enforcement, fire, and medical responders. This dynamic position requires a proactive mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Duties

• Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and conflict management skills.
• Gather accurate information from callers through effective phone triage, assessing the nature of emergencies and prioritizing responses accordingly.
• Dispatch law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), fire crews, and other first responders using GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to ensure rapid deployment.
• Utilize data entry and transcription skills to document incident details precisely in dispatch logs and reports.
• Manage security protocols by monitoring radio communications, analyzing incoming data, and coordinating resources efficiently.
• Provide first aid guidance over the phone when appropriate, offering reassurance and basic medical advice based on medical terminology knowledge. Once EMD Certified
• Maintain composure during high-pressure situations while managing conflict resolution with distressed callers or uncooperative individuals.

Qualifications

• Excellent analysis skills to evaluate information quickly and accurately in urgent situations.
• Accurate and fast typing abilities (Demonstrated typing proficiency and attention to detail)
• Demonstrated communication skills with an emphasis on clear articulation and active listening.
• Ability to handle sensitive information securely while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
