Lake County Central Dispatch (LCCD) is currently seeking applicants for a 911 Emergency Dispatcher. Dispatchers serve as the first point of contact for community members requesting assistance. This position determines location and priority of emergencies, relays information between callers and first responders, and provides assistance with non-emergency calls in a variety of ways. LCCD is a 24/7 operation, so applicants must be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call. While experience is appreciated, there is a mandatory training. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Basic skills testing, typing, and general aptitude testing are required for all candidates. Pre-employment background investigations, including criminal background checks, drug screening, and physicals, are required.
