9th Grade Algebra 1 & Science Tutor - Part Time, in Person in Palatka

About the student

• 9th grade student
• The student needs to work with a tutor for support with Algebra 1 & 9th grade science.
• The student is currently behind and does not understand the material. He is looking to work with a tutor for general assistance and oversight in the class as well as help with homework/assignment help, test prep, concept overview etc.
• The goal is for the student to raise and maintain their grades while building an understanding of the material.
• The family is asking for 1 hour sessions 3 times a week, between 8:30am-2:30pm, any day Monday through Friday.
• The family is asking for a tutor who can meet at the school the student will be having the sessions at in Palatka.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching math and science.
• Ideal candidates will be able to help the student in both Algebra and science.
• Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

MON-FRI: 8:30am-2:30pm

Pay & Benefits

• $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Experience:

• tutoring/teaching: 2 years (Required)
• classroom teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• working with students with ADHD: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Teaching Certification (Required)
