About the student

• 9th grade student
• The student needs to work with a tutor for support for her ELA skills/English class and Honors Biology class.
• The family is asking for either a certified English teacher or a certified Biology (High School Science) teacher.
• The student is a 9th grader at Westminster Art School. She is struggling with Honors Biology. She is having a hard time with test taking. She is struggling with the teaching style of the teacher. She currently has a C in the class. The same can be said for her English class. She needs help in all aspects of both classes in order to help her grasp the material and perform better academically.
• The goal is for the student to bring her grades up and develop better test taking skills.
• The family is asking for 1 hour sessions once a week during their available times. They are available Monday through Friday from 5pm-8pm, Saturday from 1pm-3pm, and Sunday 10am-3pm.
• The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Plainsboro Township near Schalks Meadow Park.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have prior experience working with high school students.
• Ideal candidates will be a credentialed teacher; either in English or Biology (HS Science).
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching English and Biology.
• Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

MON-FRI: 5:00pm-8:00pm

SAT: 1:00pm-3:00pm

SUN: 10:00am-3:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• $27.00-$30.00 per hour
