Role – Ab Initio Developer/Lead

You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust data solutions. Your primary focus will be on leveraging your extensive experience in Ab Initio and related technologies to optimize data processes and ensure seamless integration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business success.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable data warehousing solutions using Ab Initio and other relevant technologies to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and transformation across various platforms.
• Utilize SQL and Unix Shell Scripting to automate data workflows and improve system performance.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of data processes using External Scheduler and Scheduling Basics to ensure timely data availability.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of data solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data processes to identify and resolve issues promptly minimizing downtime.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data solutions and processes.
• Document data architecture and processes to maintain transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies to protect sensitive information.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data integration and warehousing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Brooklyn, OH. What you need to have to be considered

• Possess extensive experience in data warehousing concepts and data integration techniques.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Ab Initio GDE Conduct>It and Co>Operating System.
• Exhibit strong skills in ETL processes and SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
• Have a solid understanding of Unix Shell Scripting for process automation.
• Show expertise in using External Scheduler and Scheduling Basics for efficient data process management.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 1st, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 - $109,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
