AC Mechanic

Job Summary:

The AC Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The role ensures smooth operation and efficient performance of HVAC equipment to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, identifying faults and performing necessary repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Recharge refrigerants and check for leaks as per safety and compliance standards.
• Inspect and clean ducts, filters, coils, and other system components.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and perform emergency repairs when required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an AC Mechanic / HVAC Technician.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and repair procedures.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Skilled in using electrical and mechanical testing equipment.
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to HVAC systems.
• Physical ability to handle manual work, including lifting and working at heights.
• Diploma / ITI Certification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
