AC Technician

Job Description

1. Job Role

The AC Technician is responsible for the end-to-end installation, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of Split and Window Air Conditioning systems. The role involves ensuring optimal performance of AC units through regular preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The technician is expected to work independently at our own labor camps.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and test Split and Window AC units as per manufacturer and site specifications
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, and servicing of indoor and outdoor units
• Carry out deep cleaning of filters, coils, blowers, drain trays, and condensate lines
• Diagnose and troubleshoot cooling, electrical, mechanical, gas leakage, noise, vibration, and water leakage issues
• Repair and replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, capacitors, PCB boards, contactors, thermostats, and sensors
• Handle refrigerant gas charging and recovery (R22, R410A, R32) in a safe and compliant manner
• Perform basic electrical work, including wiring checks, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and earthing verification
• Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements
• Maintain service records, report faults, and coordinate with supervisors regarding spare parts and job completion
• Communicate professionally with clients and ensure work is completed to satisfaction

3. Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in Split and Window AC maintenance and repair
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, and electrical components
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• ITI / Diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
• Knowledge of UAE safety standards and best practices
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic communication skills in English (Arabic / Hindi an added advantage)
• Physically fit to work on-site, at heights, and in varying conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED1,700.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
