Academic Coach (Youth Development & Academic Mentorship)

Job Summary

We are launching a student development and academic coaching program in the Katy area designed to help students build academic confidence, discipline, and direction for their future.

Duties

The Academic Coach will work one-on-one with students to provide structured academic support while also guiding them in developing study habits, organization skills, and personal growth. Sessions combine academic tutoring, academic coaching, mentorship conversations, and exposure to real-world topics such as entrepreneurship and career exploration.

This role is ideal for educators, tutors, or youth mentors who are passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally. Academic Coaches play an important role in helping students stay accountable, build confidence, and connect their interests to future opportunities.

Responsibilities include supporting students with school assignments, helping students develop effective study strategies, leading mentorship conversations based on student interests, tracking student progress, and communicating weekly updates with parents and teachers.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, has strong communication skills, and believes in developing the whole student—not just improving grades.
