About the Role

As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in shaping students’ academic performance, personal development, and overall well-being. You will act as a mentor, motivator, and trusted support system—helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and remain focused on their educational goals. Close collaboration with faculty and parents will be essential to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support & Motivation
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage academic growth and personal development.
- Guide and motivate students to stay disciplined, confident, and goal-oriented.
- Organize and support extracurricular or developmental activities that enhance student engagement.
- Serve as an approachable point of contact for students seeking guidance or encouragement.
Academic Progress Monitoring
- Conduct regular check-ins to review academic performance and learning progress.
- Identify strengths, learning gaps, and areas requiring additional support.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement targeted academic support plans.
- Track progress and follow up consistently to ensure continuous improvement.
Parent Engagement
- Maintain transparent and timely communication with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to share insights and action plans.
- Provide practical suggestions to help parents support learning at home.
Student Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic performance, and behavioral observations.
- Use basic digital tools and tracking systems to monitor student progress.
- Prepare clear and concise reports to support academic planning and decision-making.
