What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $70,000 - $90,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week at our CEEA Office Space at Denver International Airport (8500 Pena Boulevard, Denver, CO 80249).

The Culture & Strategy Division is seeking candidates to join our team as an Airport Access (ADA and Title VI) Administrator I for Accessibility and Nondiscrimination. The Culture & Strategy Division, part of DEN’s Chief of Staff portfolio, leads efforts in three key areas that impact the entire organization and its stakeholders: (1) Strategy & Innovation, (2) Airport Access & Business Opportunity, and (3) Strategic Outreach & Engagement.
As the Airport Access Administrator I, you will be a part of a team of three (3) professionals at DEN. This team is responsible for evaluating, ensuring, and enhancing policies and providing guidance on accessibility and equal treatment in programs and activities at DEN. The Airport Access team ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, handles complaints, conducts investigations, and implements training to ensure DEN adheres to ADA, Accessibility, and Title VI, Nondiscrimination, requirements, fostering inclusivity and equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of ability or background.
Specifically, as the Access Administrator I, you will:
Serve as DEN’s Language Access program liaison, ensuring compliance with policies for individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP) by reviewing, revising, and implementing the language access plan.
Assess and provide recommendations to improve Title VI, Language Access, programming, including policies, procedures and general practices employed across the applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead efforts to increase awareness of Title VI requirements, including posting public notices and evaluating staff trainings to ensure full compliance.
Oversee and promote digital accessibility to ensure compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504/508 requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop, implement, and maintain digital accessibility standards, policies, and procedures aligned with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and industry best practices across all digital. platforms in partnership with the Access Manager and the communications and marketing team.
Respond to and resolve accessibility-related complaints and inquiries with empathy, efficiency, and professionalism
Provide assistance to – and cross-collaboration with – the Airport Access Administrator II and Manager to ensure effective coverage and support for programs and projects.
What You’ll Bring
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
Knowledge and understanding of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related federal statutes.
Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous work environment.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
A willingness to learn and collaborate with others and to seek out and embrace diverse perspectives.
Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work with minimal direct oversight; ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Experience in applying federal, state, and local nondiscrimination and effective communication regulations, specifically the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, limited English proficiency (LEP), and ADA Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Strong skills in communication, organizational, interpersonal, and planning accessible materials.
Experience managing customer complaint processes, ability to conduct investigations, review data for disparities, and prepare reports.
Ability to work in an active, collaborative, team-oriented, and hybrid working environment.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)
Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
Additional Information
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Snow/Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
