Access Control Specialist

Overview:
The Access Control Specialist is responsible for managing secure entry and visitor operations across multiple facilities. This role ensures strict adherence to established security protocols while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly professional, and experienced in security operations, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

This position is contingent upon award and not currently funded.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact at visitor control desks across five (5) facilities during normal business hours.
  • Execute all access control functions, including identity verification, badge issuance, visitor processing, and facility entry/exit monitoring.
  • Maintain a presence at assigned visitor control points to ensure continuous coverage and compliance.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of established visitor control procedures to ensure secure and compliant access.
  • Monitor and document visitor activity, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service to all personnel, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Support security operations by preparing reports, briefings, and documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless security operations across all facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a security-related field, such as: Industrial Security, Physical Security, Information / Network Security.
  • Strong proficiency with: Microsoft Excel (including complex spreadsheets), Microsoft PowerPoint (briefing preparation), Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
