Access Operation and Maintenance Engineer

As an Access Operations and Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and technical support of access network platforms and related service environments, managing both front-office and back-office activities, and coordinating effectively with IP Core, Transmission, and Field Operations teams across multi-vendor networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support access network platforms to ensure service availability and performance.
• Handle front-office and back-office activities related to Field Operation, incidents, service assurance, coordination, and reporting.
• Support implementation, integration, testing, and quality checks for access network solutions.
• Coordinate with basic knowledge about IP core, transmission, field operation, and service delivery teams to resolve faults.
• Troubleshoot alarms, service issues, and performance degradations, and identify root causes.
• Work effectively within multi-vendor environments, including Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, Zhone and similar platforms.
• Prepare accurate technical documentation, operational reports, and escalation records.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance and follow up on service-impacting issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in telecom operations or access network support.
• Good knowledge of FTTH, GPON, OLT/ONT, MSAN, DSL, and access network fundamentals.
• Awareness of IP core and transmission domains and their interaction with access services.
• Ability to work in front-office and back-office roles with strong coordination skills.
• Knowledge of Field operation process, incident handling, reporting, and service assurance practices.
• Basic knowledge of networking, routing, switching, alarm handling, and performance monitoring.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Data Analysis, and basic programming is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
