Job Description

Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented Accessibility Testing Specialist to ensure that web, mobile, and digital products are accessible to users of all abilities. The role involves evaluating applications against accessibility standards, identifying compliance gaps, collaborating with development teams, and supporting the delivery of inclusive digital experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accessibility testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Evaluate products against accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct manual accessibility testing using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification tools, and other assistive technologies.
  • Execute automated accessibility scans and analyze results.
  • Identify, document, and track accessibility defects in defect management tools.
  • Provide clear remediation recommendations to developers, designers, and product teams.
  • Review UI/UX designs for accessibility compliance during the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint activities, and release validation.
  • Create accessibility test plans, test cases, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Support accessibility audits and certification initiatives.
  • Stay current with evolving accessibility standards, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accessibility testing, QA testing, or digital accessibility.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA requirements.
  • Experience with assistive technologies such as:
    • JAWS
    • NVDA
    • VoiceOver
    • TalkBack
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools such as:
    • Axe DevTools
    • WAVE
    • Lighthouse
    • Accessibility Insights
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA concepts.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accessibility certifications (e.g., CPACC, WAS, CPWA).
  • Experience testing responsive web and mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD integration of accessibility testing.

Key Deliverables

  • Accessibility test plans and test execution reports.
  • Accessibility audit findings and compliance assessments.
  • Defect reports with remediation guidance.
  • Accessibility sign-off documentation for releases.

Success Metrics

  • Accessibility defect detection rate.
  • Compliance with WCAG standards.
  • Reduction in accessibility-related production issues.
  • Timely completion of accessibility testing activities
