Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Travel & Tourism-Specific Duties
  • Track and reconcile bookings, ticket sales, and tour package revenues.
  • Process refunds, cancellations, and adjustments in compliance with company policies.
  • Manage supplier invoices from airlines, hotels, transport providers, and other tourism partners.
  • Monitor foreign currency transactions and exchange rates for international bookings.
  • Costing & Budgeting
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis for travel packages.
  • Monitor operational expenses to ensure alignment with budget.
  • Support management in pricing decisions for tours and travel services.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and tourism industry requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Other Duties
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Improve and maintain financial control procedures.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to management for decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in travel, tourism, or hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Understanding of VAT, tax laws, and tourism-related financial regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
