The Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations of the manufacturing unit, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting. The role involves handling accounting entries, invoicing, taxation, vendor and customer accounts, and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Operations
- Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers
- Record purchase, sales, expense, and asset entries accurately
- Prepare and process sales invoices, delivery challans, and credit/debit notes
- Maintain customer and vendor account reconciliations
Manufacturing Accounting
- Track raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory
- Coordinate with stores and production departments for stock records
- Assist in cost accounting, BOM tracking, and production expense allocation
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation)
- Ensure proper GST accounting for inward and outward supplies
- Assist in TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing
- Support statutory audits, GST audits, and internal audits
Payments & Receivables
- Process vendor payments and ensure timely payment schedules
- Follow up on customer outstanding payments and maintain aging reports
- Handle bank transactions, cheque preparation, and online payments
- Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense statements, and reconciliation reports
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and bankers as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
