POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Account Executive - MML

Department: Logistics

Location: Eagan, MN

Reports To: Account Executive Manager

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Account Executive is the primary point of contact for assigned customers, responsible for ensuring their freight moves smoothly, accurately, and on time. This role blends daily operational execution with proactive customer relationship management to maintain high service levels, prevent revenue loss, and identify growth opportunities. Success in this role comes from consistent follow-through, effective communication, problem-solving, and strong collaboration with both customers and internal teams.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Build strong relationships with customer contacts to maintain satisfaction and uncover growth opportunities.

· Respond quickly to customer inquiries and provide proactive shipment updates and escalate delays or issues before they impact service.

· Enter, schedule and complete all customer service orders and tasks timely and accurately each day.

· Communicate effectively with customer by phone, e-mail, and EDI for scheduling appointments and providing customer service.

· Collaborate with internal teams to share priorities, hand off work smoothly, and address urgent needs.

· Monitor reports for potential delays or issues and take action to resolve them.

· Participate in service failure reviews, track recurring problems, and suggest process improvements to prevent reoccurrence.

· Maintain account SOP documents, and customer database.

· Assist with any other projects as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

· College degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Economics, or equivalent work experience.

· Experience in the transportation/logistics industry is beneficial, but not required.

· Highly motivated, with a strong desire to resolve issues & provide a high quality customer experience.

· Strong computer skills, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.

· Dependable, detail oriented, organized, and skilled at problem solving.

· Ability to work professionally and effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external stakeholders.

· Strong decision making skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
