Position Overview:

A international Trading company is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join their company. This role will focus primarily on carbon products trading and report directly to the Department GM/Account Manager. The Account Executive will be responsible for expanding business opportunities, managing customer and supplier relationships, and supporting the department’s overall growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the import and sales of cathode blocks to aluminum smelters across North America.
  • Grow the graphite electrode import business with steel mills in North America.
  • Deliver high‑quality commercial services and build strong, long‑term relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Support the development of new carbon product opportunities within the aluminum and steel industries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Address and resolve customer issues to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Assist with budget preparation and track performance against targets.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events.
  • Contribute to market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Conduct pricing analysis to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs; provide recommendations to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, including credit applications.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven sales, customer service, and negotiation abilities.
  • Effective collaboration skills with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Experience with budget creation, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of aluminum smelting operations.
  • Knowledge of steel EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) operations.
  • Japanese/English bilingual skills.
  • Work Environment & Requirements
  • Hybrid schedule: minimum two days per week onsite.
  • Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods.

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.

Other duties assigned depending on various projects requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $77,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
