Account Manager - Entertainment

Job Purposes:

The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, leading day-to-day operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of campaigns. Acting as the main point of contact for clients, the Account Manager balances strategic thinking with flawless project execution. This role might mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with internal departments to maintain high-quality standards, client satisfaction, and account profitability.

Dimensions:

  • Financial: Responsible for input and monitoring of financial estimates, budgets, and profitability tracking for assigned accounts
  • Non-Financial: Responsible for client servicing quality, internal coordination, and team development within assigned projects

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Manage day-to-day operations and serve as the primary client contact on accounts/projects
  • Lead on the execution of projects/campaigns from brief to final delivery
  • Development of briefs, budgets, and timelines
  • Lead meetings both internally and externally with clients
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Provide strategic input during planning and creative development, ensuring the work aligns with client objectives and brand strategy
  • Report all financial matters related to their respective accounts as per the agency processes
  • Support supplier contract negotiations and execution, ensuring compliance, cost effectiveness, and alignment with project requirements
  • Do and ensure the accurate and timely posting of social content across designated platforms, adhering to the approved content calendar and brand guidelines
  • Handle conflict resolution and problem-solving within accounts to ensure smooth collaboration and client satisfaction
  • Report on account financials as per agency processes

Work Contacts:

  • Internal: Account Management, Strategy, Creative, Studio, Media, and Finance Teams
  • External: Clients, Production Houses, Suppliers, and External Partners

Requirements

Job Specifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in account management or client servicing, including managing medium-to-large accounts within an advertising or marketing agency

Quality and Delivery

  • Ability to review and QA all deliverables for accuracy and brand alignment
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail under pressure and tight timelines
  • Ability to enforce process discipline across briefing, revisions, and approvals

Client and Strategic Relationships

  • Ability to act as the main focal point for clients and manage expectations
  • Ability to build trust through reliability, responsiveness, and value creation
  • Ability to spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities with senior guidance

Strategic and Analytical

  • Ability to translate business and marketing objectives into clear briefs
  • Ability to connect audience, market, and competitive insights to recommendations
  • Ability to align execution with the client's strategy and KPIs

Communication and Presentation

  • Ability to lead external presentations with clarity and structure
  • Ability to write concise briefs, contact reports, status updates, and proposals
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with diplomacy and professionalism

Project and Financial Management

  • Ability to plan and manage timelines, scopes, resources, and dependencies
  • Ability to build estimates and track budgets, billing, and profitability
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and forecasting per agency processes

Leadership and Team Development

  • Ability to coach AEs and SAEs, delegate tasks, and review outputs
  • Ability to drive collaboration across strategy, creative, media, studio, and production
  • Ability to resolve issues and remove blockers to keep work moving
