General Objectives

To carry out the responsibilities of the Finance Department in KIABI TURKEY- ITFAS Turkey Tekstil Ticaret A.Ş. which operates as Textile Sourcing&Production Office for our retail brand KIABI.

Having proficiency in managing accounting finance area, applying, and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures in accounting to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping. Ensure an effective and efficient execution of internal controls measures in AP and AR.

To support the Finance manager in Hong Kong of certain responsibilities that will allow them to spend a greater portion of their time on Financial Statement preparation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to manage full set of Accounts,
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing, account analysis,
• Responsible for update the accounting system and maintenance works,
• Maintain Accounts Payable paperwork at completion of the check run, review all invoices for appropriate, documentation and approval prior to payment
• Oversee Accounts Receivable aging, follow up any long overdue accounts, adjust necessary write-of fs and payment reversals
• Ensure record completeness, proper system procedures, approval, and controls in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements,
• Maintain the fixed asset register and associated depreciation schedules on the local accounting system; insure updated record of new purchases and disposals
• Maintain Kiabi internal Purchase Order Processing system
• Balance Sheet and P&L Analysis & reconciliation
• Monthly expense variance analysis
• Inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
• Assist in preparing year-end audit and tax declaration
• Being in communication with banks and having cash management experience
• Handle ad hoc projects,
• Handle inquiries from group companies,
• Contribute to a positive work environment with strong staff morale, staff quality and bench strength.

Reporting Line

Direct reporting line to Finance Manager in Hong Kong and dotted line to Turkey Country Leader.

Training and experience:

• University graduate in Accounting / Finance / Economics
• With a CPA lisence
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Turkish accounting / finance related field
• Technical knowledge of local accounting requirements, IFRS, Turkish Tax Law & regulations and forex regulation
• Sound accounting experience in multinational company.
• Technically competent in resolving day-to-day operations relating to accounting and finance matters.

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS office
• Fluency in English is a must
• Analytical thinking and strong sense of responsibilities
• A good team player with a positive and "can do" attitude
