1. Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments).
- Manage and update general ledger accounts.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual spending vs budgeted amounts.
- Provide insights on cost control and efficiency.
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Analyze financial performance and provide reports to management.
4. Taxation and Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., VAT, TDS, GST, income tax).
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants during audits.
5. Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
- Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up for payments.
- Reconcile vendor and customer statements.
6. Bank and Cash Management
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly.
- Manage cash flow and monitor daily cash balances.
- Handle petty cash and related entries.
7. Payroll Assistance
- Support payroll processing and maintain employee payment records.
- Ensure accurate deduction and remittance of taxes and contributions.
8. Internal Controls
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
- Identify areas for financial process improvements.
9. Software Usage
- Proficient in accounting software such as:
- Tally
- QuickBooks
- Zoho Books
- SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
- Skilled in MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
