Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join Homestead Realtors. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling financial operations within the real estate industry, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all accounting functions. You will be responsible for managing accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the company in making informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records for property sales, rentals, commissions, and operational expenses.
• Reconcile bank statements, client accounts, and vendor transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle VAT filings, compliance, and other regulatory reporting.
• Process payroll, staff reimbursements, and expense tracking.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting.
• Assist management with financial analysis for decision-making.
• Liaise with auditors, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and UAE financial regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance is a must.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in handling property-related financial transactions.
• Familiarity with RERA regulations and real estate commission structures.
• Knowledge of GOAML compliance (added advantage).
