Job Title: Accountant

Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of Team Safety Consultants – Abu Dhabi branch, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, compliance with UAE tax laws (FTA VAT and Corporate Tax), and maintaining financial controls using Zoho Books. This role requires strong UAE-based experience, in-depth knowledge of local regulations, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, service-oriented business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations using Zoho Books.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and banking transactions.
Tax Compliance (FTA – VAT & Corporate Tax)
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings in compliance with UAE FTA regulations.
- Manage Corporate Tax documentation, registration, and compliance.
- Stay updated with UAE tax law changes and implement necessary updates.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure documentation and adherence to internal financial controls and policies.
- Identify financial risks and recommend process improvements.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Track and reconcile inventory and fixed assets.
- Work closely with warehouse/logistics to maintain accurate stock records.
Coordination & Support
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Procurement teams for accurate billing and cost allocation.
- Provide financial data and analysis to management for decision-making.
- Support and guide junior accounting staff when required.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA/ACCA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in the service or equipment industry.
- Software: Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is mandatory.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE tax laws (VAT & Corporate Tax) and FTA compliance.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in service-based or technical equipment industries.
- Knowledge of WPS and payroll processes as per UAE Labour Law.
- Familiarity with ISO or safety compliance standards.
