Job Description – AccountantPosition Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate reporting for decision-making. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and supporting audits, tax filings, and budgeting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Manage payroll processing and related reporting.
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and budgets.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Assist in tax preparation and filing for corporate and local requirements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic planning.
- Use accounting software and ERP systems to maintain accurate records.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven experience as an Accountant, Auditor, or in a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or within a team.
