Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various accounting practices, including corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, and governmental accounting. This role requires proficiency in financial concepts, GAAP compliance, and the ability to prepare and interpret financial statements. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity while supporting our organization's financial management goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Conduct account reconciliation, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Perform financial report writing and interpretation for management review.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.
  • Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
  • Analyze cash flow and perform bank reconciliations to maintain liquidity.
  • Ensure compliance with securities law and tax regulations as applicable.

Experience
Candidates should have a solid foundation in accounting principles with experience in the following areas:

  • SOX compliance
  • LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit)
  • Public accounting practices
  • Financial analysis and management
  • Double entry bookkeeping techniques
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Knowledge of wills, trusts & estate law is a plus
  • Familiarity with private equity transactions is advantageous

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting tasks. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with regulatory reporting and technical accounting will be beneficial for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
