Troy Bank and Trust is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team in the Troy office.

We are looking for a full-time energetic, experienced, and versatile Accountant to provide clerical and administrative support to our Accounting Department. This position analyzes expense reports, verifies and reconciles invoices, and charges expenses to accounts and cost centers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review all accounts payable invoices for correct sales tax, approval, and general ledger allocation.
  • Use AvidXChange Fixed Asset software including asset useful life and depreciation schedule.
  • Make entries and reconcile general ledger fixed asset records and internal DDA accounts using information from AvidXChange Fixed Asset software with subsidiary documentation.
  • Daily review of Positive Pay and Official Check DDA account to include uploading outstanding items file.
  • Assist Comptroller in responding to auditor/examiner requests for documents and/or information during internal and external audits/examinations.
  • Assist Accounting Department with meeting goals and objectives.
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, and mailing.


Minimum qualifications include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration (focused in Accounting), Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to adapt to / use specialized business software.
  • Experience managing fixed asset transactions, including additions, disposals, and depreciation preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience in general bookkeeping including reconciliation of accounts.
  • Relevant professional certifications including CPA designation preferred.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
