Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the travel agency, including accounting, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. In addition, the role involves overseeing and maintaining the company’s online booking portal, ensuring accurate data entry, payment tracking, and smooth coordination between finance and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update daily accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and expense reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Manage supplier and customer accounts, including travel partners, airlines, and hotels.
• Monitor and update the company’s online booking portal, ensuring all bookings, payments, and reports are properly recorded.
• Coordinate with the sales and operations teams to verify online portal transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with audits, VAT submissions, and compliance with UAE accounting standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure proper record keeping.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
• Familiarity with online travel portals or booking systems.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office applications.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in travel agency accounting processes.
• Knowledge of BSP/IATA reporting.
• Basic understanding of portal management and online payment systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
