Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and financial management, be detail-oriented, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the duties of the accounting team and implement accounting systems & processes.
• Reconcile income statements and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Control the master data of the general ledger and review financial accuracy.
• Manage all accounting transactions and ensure timely bank payments.
• Prepare budget forecasts and expense budget reports.
• Publish financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Compute taxes, VAT returns, and corporate tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with UAE ESR, AML, CRS, and other financial regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and verify accuracy in ledgers, payments, and bank transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Review and release online banking payments.
• Provide ongoing financial reporting support and business unit assessments.
• Study, inspect, and assess budgets, balance sheets, and financial statements.
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of UAE accounting experience (mandatory).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and UAE tax regulations.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, Xero, FreshBooks, QuickBooks).
• Advanced MS Excel & Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Experience handling VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, AML, and CRS compliance.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with an ability to detect numerical errors.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
