Job Title: Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Accounting:

• Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, and receipts.
• Reconcile bank accounts, e-wallets, and payment gateway transactions on a daily/weekly basis.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments to vendors and collection from clients/customers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.

E-commerce Specific Responsibilities:

• Track and account for all online transactions from multiple marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.) and reconcile them with internal systems.
• Manage vendor settlements, marketplace fees, shipping costs, and other e-commerce-related expenses.
• Perform cost analysis on products, shipping, returns, and refunds to optimize profitability.
• Monitor inventory valuation and coordinate with operations/warehouse teams to prevent discrepancies.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure timely GST filing, TDS returns, and compliance with other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
• Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience; prior experience in e-commerce or retail is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Solid understanding of GST, TDS, and e-commerce-specific compliance requirements.
• Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with vendors, marketplaces, and internal teams.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
