Accountant

Job Description:

Help manage and oversee the daily operations of the company's finance department for its transportation-related business, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closings.

Please note that the role is based in our office headquarters at Umm Al Quwain. Previous experience inrelated industry will be an advantage to you.

Responsibilities:

· Handles monthly book closing and provides accurate reports.

· Responsible for all payment follow-ups/receivables and payables.

· Petty cash monitoring.

· Filing of VAT returns on a quarterly basis.

· Prepares profit and loss statement (cash basis accounting).

· Combines numerous reports (bank statements, invoices, profit and loss statements, and so on).

· Creates financial statements such as the balance sheet, income statement, and so on.

· Prepares voucher payables and cheques as needed; computes gratuities and instructors' payout; and assists with WPS schedule development and salary calculations.

· Encodes all financial transactions in the accounting system's financial data.

· Assists the auditor in the audit of the financial statements.

· Assist in creating a budget for the coming year.

· Annual financial book closing.

· Provide general administrative support, as needed.

Requirements:

· Preferably willing to be relocated in Umm Al Quwain, office headquarters.

· A minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience in related firled or industry in UAE is required.

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance: CPA/CMA certification preferred.

· Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.

· Background in transportation related business is a plus.

· Strong knowledge of IFRS and other accounting standards.

Pay: AED1.00 - AED10.00 per month
